Army Fitness Test

READINESS

The Army Fitness Test (AFT) is used to evaluate a Soldier's physical fitness. The test consists of five events, administered in the following order: Three Repetition Maximum Deadlift, Hand-Release Push-up, Sprint-Drag-Carry, Plank, and Two-Mile Run. Each event is designed to improve Soldier and unit readiness, transform the Army's fitness culture, reduce preventable injuries and attrition, and enhance mental toughness and stamina.
