This Web site contains information on all bankruptcies filed by contractors doing business with the U.S. Army. It also serves as a central repository of all claims that the U.S. Army might have against a particular contractor that has declared bankruptcy.
The Litigation Division of the U.S. Army JAG Corps is responsible for creating and maintaining the bankruptcy notice documents in this Web site. It is also responsible for publishing in the appropriate JAGCNet forums a request for information concerning any claims that the U.S. Army might have against a contractor that has declared bankruptcy.
Each installation legal office should periodically check this site to determine whether a contractor, or one of its subsidiaries, has declared bankruptcy. Either the contract law attorney or the contracting officer may then fill out a claim form on this site setting forth the particulars of the claim that the U.S. Army has against the contractor.
All claims against a particular contractor are automatically compiled into a single document, which a Litigation Division attorney then submits to the appropriate bankruptcy court.
