The FY17 LTC O-5 / COL O-6 USAR JA Promotion Selection Board MILPERs are published.  

Please read the MILPER carefully and in its entirety.

Below are a few key dates and key points.

The board will convene on or about 18 Jul 17.

Board files open 19 May 17 and close 11 Jul 17.  Do not wait to review your board file.     All too often, officers wait until the last week and result in requests for special exceptions to assist from HRC.  Special exceptions are not always approved.

All USAR JAs within the zone of consideration (all of you) must provide proof of good standing that is dated no earlier than 90 days prior to the board, send to usarmy.pentagon.hqda-otjag.mbx.reserve-component@mail.mil  ATTN:  MAJ Rodney Stewart (O-6 COL Board) and ATTN:  MAJ A. Watson (O-5 LTC Board).

In order to be considered by the board, all mandatory or optional Officer Evaluation Reports (OER) / Academic Evaluation Reports (AER) must be received, error free, by the HRC Evaluations Branch NLT 11 Jul 17.

All of you should provide an ORB for your board file, review the MILPER message carefully for guidance in this regard.  Officers are responsible for maintaining their ORB updated with the most current information.

The Army Service Uniform (ASU) is the only authorized uniform for wear in DA photographs.
