Selection of Sergeant Major Shellyann Corbin as the
Command Sergeant Major of The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and
School and Commandant of the NCO Academy in Charlottesville, Virginia
It is our pleasure to announce the selection of Sergeant Major (SGM) Shellyann Corbin to serve as the Command Sergeant Major of The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center & School (TJAGLCS) and Commandant of the NCO Academy in Charlottesville, Virginia. SGM Corbin is a distinguished leader and a true steward of the legal profession, who will bring invaluable leadership experience to our Regimental home.
SGM Corbin joined the Army in 2000, completing One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Jackson, SC, where she earned the MOS 27D, Paralegal Specialist. She has honorably served in a variety of paralegal and NCO leadership positions over her career. She is currently serving as the Command Paralegal for the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, U.S. Army Forces Command, Fort Bragg, NC. Her previous duty positions include Instructor, Sergeant Major Academy, Fort Bliss, TX; Command Paralegal, Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, United States Army Pacific, Fort Shafter, HI; Command Paralegal, Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, GA; Deputy Commandant and 1SG, Noncommissioned Officer Academy, The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center & School, Charlottesville, VA; Command Paralegal, Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, 101st Airborne Division (AA), Fort Campbell, KY; Senior Military Justice Operations NCO, Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, 101st Airborne Division (AA), Fort Campbell, KY; 27D Course Director, Alpha Company, 369th Adjutant General Battalion, Fort Jackson, SC; 27D Instructor, Alpha Company, 369th Adjutant General Battalion, Fort Jackson, SC; Paralegal NCO, 302nd Signal Battalion, Fort Detrick, MD; Platoon Sergeant, Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, 1st Armored Division, Rose Barracks, Germany; Paralegal Specialist, Trial Defense Service, 1st Armored Division, Rose Barracks, Germany; Military Justice and Post Trial NCO, Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, 1st Armored Division, Rose Barracks, Germany. SGM Corbin deployed to Iraq with 1st Armored Division.
