Announcement of the Nomination of Major General Joseph B. Berger III
for appointment as The Judge Advocate General
and appointment to Lieutenant General

I am pleased to announce that on June 4, 2024, the Senate of the 118th Congress received Presidential Nomination 1810 for the United States Army, which was then referred to the Committee on Armed Services.

Presidential Nomination 1810 nominated Major General Joseph B. Berger III for appointment as The Judge Advocate General, United States Army, and appointment in the United States Army to Lieutenant General under title 10, U.S.C., sections 601, 7037, and 7064.

Please take the opportunity to congratulate Major General Berger on his well-deserved nomination as he continues to serve the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, the United States Army, and the Nation.
