Announcement of Selection of Sergeant Major Joshua Quinton
as the Command Sergeant Major at The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center &
School and Commandant of the NCO Academy in Charlottesville, Virginia
 
It is our pleasure to announce the selection of Sergeant Major (SGM) Joshua Quinton to serve as the Command Sergeant Major of The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center & School (TJAGLCS) and Commandant of the NCO Academy in Charlottesville, Virginia. SGM Quinton is a distinguished Paralegal Soldier and a true steward of the legal profession.
 
SGM Quinton joined the Army in 1994 as an 11B, Infantryman and reclassed to 27D, Paralegal Specialist in 2001. He has honorably served in a variety of paralegal and NCO leadership positions over his career. He is currently serving as 27D Proponent Sergeant Major at the Pentagon in Washington, DC. Prior to that he served as Command Paralegal NCO, 10th Mountain Division (LI), Fort Drum, NY; Chief Paralegal NCO, 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne), Fort Bragg, NC; Senior Military Justice Operations NCO, XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, NC; First Sergeant, Student Detachment, TJAGLCS; Chief Paralegal NCO, 94th Army Air Missile Defense Command, Fort Shafter, HI; NCOIC, International and Operational Law, USARPAC; Chief Paralegal NCO, I Corps and JBLM; Command Paralegal NCO, I Corps and JBLM; 555th Engineer Brigade Rear Detachment NCOIC; Criminal Law NCOIC, I Corps and JBLM; Brigade Paralegal NCO, 593d Sustainment Brigade, Al Asad, Iraq; NCOIC, Vilseck Law Center, Rose Barracks, DE; Criminal Law NCOIC, Vilseck Law Center, Rose Barracks, DE; Judicial Reconstruction Assistance Team NCOIC, CJTF-7, Baghdad, Iraq; Client Services NCOIC, Task Force Falcon, Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo; Military Justice Paralegal, Vilseck Law Center, Rose Barracks, DE; and an Infantry Fire Team Leader for C Company, 2/5 CAV, 1 CD, Fort Hood, TX; C Company, 2/5 CAV, 1 CD, Bosnia-Herzegovina; and D Company, 1/23 IN, 2 ID, Fort Lewis, WA.
 
SGM Quinton will bring invaluable and unique leadership experience to our Regimental home. He is a proven mentor-leader, who will impart wisdom, advice, and guidance to every member of our Judge Advocate Legal Services Family. We have absolute trust and confidence that SGM Quinton will excel in his new role. Our Corps will grow and improve with him as part of our Legal Center & School’s leadership team.
