The 4th resident Judge Advocate Tactical Staff Officer Course (JATSOC) is scheduled from Monday, 11 August 2025 to Friday, 15 August 2025.
The purpose of the JATSOC is to familiarize JAs with key Army doctrine and staff officer skills necessary to function as part of a tactical-level staff. The primary intended audience for this course is active-duty Judge Advocates (CPT/O-3) who are in, or will be going into, a national security law billet, deployment, combined training center rotation, or warfighter exercise. Similarly situated reserve component Judge Advocates may attend the resident course by exception.
Prospective students shall complete the course application & registration form, which is located via link under the “Course Applications” section at https://tjaglcs.army.mil/Student-Services. All applications must be submitted NLT 11 July 2025. Approved applicants will be notified by 18 July 2025.
Course Dates: 11 – 15 August 2025.
Location: TJAGLCS, Charlottesville, Virginia.
Length: 4.5 Days (Friday, 15 August ending NLT 1330)
