From 13 May - 15 May 2025, the Office of the Chief of Chaplains (OCCH) will host the first annual Law and Religion Course at the DoubleTree Hotel in Crystal City, Washington, D.C.

The primary audience is Division-level Chaplains (with their Deputies and Religious Affairs Specialists). OCCH has also extended an invitation to Judge Advocate counterparts (e.g., D/SJA, Chiefs of Ad Law). Attendance must be unit funded.

The purpose of the course is to provide training on key concepts, law and policy, and best practices concerning religious accommodations, free exercise, and non-establishment. Courses will be taught by OCCH, OTJAG Administrative Law Division, OTJAG Criminal Law Division, TJAGLCS Administrative and Civil Law Department, and Litigation Division. Additionally, there will be a practitioner panel and a moderated Q&A with OCCH and JAGC leadership. Uniform is business casual.
