Effective immediately, OSC is only accepting appointments for Active Duty Soldiers and Reserve Component (USAR and ARNG) on active duty orders greater than 30 days for informal PEB decision (DA Form 199) consultations and representations at formal PEB hearings.
We are unable to assist you during the Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) stage, due to staffing cuts and ensuring OSC meets our statutory obligations at other phases of the Disability Evaluation System Process.
Notice: Active Duty SMs and RC SMs on AD orders greater than 30 days are entitled to IPEB consultations only after you have received a DA Form 199.
Reserve Component (RC) Soldiers
Non-Active Duty (NAD) Reserve Component (RC) Soldiers, including U.S. Army Reserve (USAR) and Army National Guard (ARNG) personnel (Drilling Personnel & any RC Soldier on Active Duty orders less than 30 days), who require legal assistance during this phase should contact their respective USAR or ARNG Judge Advocate General (JAG) office. Your component's legal representatives remain available to provide guidance and support tailored to your specific status.
TDRL (Temporary Disability Retired List)
In accordance with recent policy changes, the Office of Soldiers' Counsel (OSC) is no longer accepting new clients who are on the Temporary Disabled Retired List (TDRL), including representation at formal hearings. TDRL members may secure private counsel for assistance at no expense to the Army.
