On 22 August 2024, at a general court-martial convened at Fort Johnson, LA, SPC Juan Sosa, U.S. Army, was convicted by a military judge, pursuant to his pleas, of three specifications of violating a lawful general regulation, one specification of larceny of military property of a value of more than $1,000, one specification of larceny of military property of a value of less than $1,000, and one specification of domestic violence in violation of Articles 92, 121, and 128b, UCMJ. The military judge sentenced the accused to be confined for 10 months and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge. The sentence was consistent with the terms of a plea agreement.
