On 24 January 2025, at a general court-martial convened at Fort Campbell, KY, SPC Matthew W. Martin, U.S. Army, was convicted by a military panel composed of officer and enlisted members, contrary to his pleas, of one specification of domestic violence in violation of Article 128b, UCMJ. The accused was acquitted of two specifications of domestic violence in violation of Article 128b, UCMJ. The members sentenced the accused to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to be reprimanded, to perform 3 months of hard labor without confinement, and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge.
