On 7 May 2026, at a general court-martial convened at Fort Lesley J. McNair, Washington, District of Columbia, SGT Brandon A. McLauchlan, U.S. Army, was convicted by a military judge, pursuant to his pleas, of one specification of a false official statement, one specification of larceny, and one specification of prevention of authorized seizure of property in violation of Articles 107, 121, and 131e, UCMJ. The military judge sentenced the accused to be confined for 365 days. The sentence was consistent with the terms of a plea agreement.
