On 6 March 2026, at a special court-martial convened at Fort Knox, Kentucky, SSG Daniel Vega was convicted by a military judge, pursuant to his pleas, of one specification of damaging military property and one specification of obstructing justice, in violation of Articles 108 and 131b, UCMJ. The military judge sentenced SSG Daniel Vega to 15 days confinement, and to be reduced to the grade of E-4. The sentence was consistent with the terms of his plea agreement.
