On 18 June 2025, at a general court-martial convened at Fort Bragg, NC, SPC Jovaughn Stewart, U.S. Army, was convicted by a military judge, pursuant to his pleas, of two specifications of sexual assault of a child, six specifications of sexual abuse of a child, six specifications of wrongful production of child pornography, three specifications of wrongful possession of child pornography, two specifications of wrongfully receiving child pornography, two specifications of wrongfully viewing child pornography, one specification of attempted production of child pornography, and seven specifications of attempted sexual abuse of a child, in violation of Articles 80, 120b, and 134, UCMJ. The military judge sentenced the accused to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to be confined for 50 years, and to be discharged from the service with a dishonorable discharge. The sentence was consistent with the terms of a plea agreement.
