On 30 July 2026, at a general court-martial convened at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, SPC Cameron L. Dubose, U.S. Army, was convicted by a military judge, pursuant to his plea, of one specification of attempt to commit a lewd act upon a child who had not attained the age of 16 years, in violation of Article 80, UCMJ. The military judge sentenced the accused to be confined for 16 months and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge. The sentence was consistent with the terms of a plea agreement.
