On 17 July 2025, at a special court-martial convened at Fort Stewart, GA, PV2 Ricardo M. Conte, U.S. Army, was convicted by a military judge, pursuant to his pleas, of one specification of assault upon a person in the execution of law enforcement duties and two specifications of simple assault in violation of Article 128, UCMJ. The military judge sentenced the accused to be confined for 3 months and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge. The sentence was consistent with the terms of a plea agreement.
