WELCOME TO THE ARMY NATIONAL GUARD TRIAL DEFENSE SERVICE TEAM!
 

NOTE: Per ARNGTDS SOP paragraph 2-3, you MUST complete and turn in your In-Processing Form with required attachments within 30 days of reporting to your Trial Defense Service (TDS) assignment.

As a newly assigned member of the TDS team, there are five important steps you need to complete before being granted access to the private databases under our control. Please take the following steps to ensure you are properly in-processed. Failure to do so may result in travel delays or lack of access to controlled information. Step 1: Update Your Profile in JAGCNET

You need to update your JAGCNET account to access TDS websites. Log in to http://www.jagcnet.army.mil (CAC required); click on your name in   the upper right-hand corner; select Edit Profile; once in the edit screen type in the office locator box your state national guard and select HQ, Joint Forces command.  Under the section “Office Location Information” to the left is another section “Section within Office or Team within LSO/LOD” you may chose Trial Defense Service. Update your section if applicable and your office phone number; once complete click save. Your profile will be updated within 24 hours and your access to the restricted TDS site should be visible. Step 2: In-Processing Form

Before completing the in-processing form below ensure you have access to the following documents:

Officers:  Last OER, DA Form 1059, ORB, and resume

Noncommissioned Officers & Junior Enlisted:  Last NCOER, word picture, ERB, and last DA Form 1059

Once you have the above documents, click on the fillable PDF In-Processing Form below. Please fill out the entire form unless it does not apply to you. After completing the form select the “Submit” button. Selecting this button will generate an email in outlook directly to our Personnel Actions Inbox. Please ensure you attach the above mentioned documents and send within the 30 days prescribed in the ARNG TDS SOP.  If you need assistance, please email ng.ncr.ngb-arng.mbx.arng-tds@army.mil.

Step 3: Defense Travel System (DTS)

New DTS Users: You must self-register in DTS.  Log into https://www.defensetravel.osd.mil (CAC required); select the Login to DTS button.  Follow the steps to self-register.  When self-registering ensure you select your state organization.  You must get with your State Personnel to obtain any additional information to complete the registration.  If you need assistance, please email ng.ncr.ngb-arng.mbx.arng-tds@army.mil.

Step 4:  Automation 

If you have received any portable electronic equipment from your predecessor, Regional Defense Counsel, Senior Defense Counsel, paralegal, or OTC you will complete and sign the below fillable hand receipt and portable electronic policy memo.  After completing and/or signing these forms, select the “Submit” button.  Selecting this button will generate an email directly to the OTC inbox.

You are responsible for updating your hand receipt annually for any portable electronics assigned to you.  Located below is a template of a hand receipt (DA Form).  After you have completed and signed this form, select the submit button.  Selecting this button will generate an email in outlook directly to the OTC inbox. . Step 5:  Management Reports 

Each team has an obligation to report actions and case information to the Office of the Chief (OTC) on a monthly basis.  You will have access to the management reports once you have completed the in-processing.  If you need assistance, please contact your TDS paralegal.  Paralegals if you need assistance, please email ng.ncr.ngb-arng.mbx.arng-tds@army.mil​.
