Welcome to the U.S. Army Advocacy Center

Director Mike Mulligan welcomes you to the U.S. Army Advocacy Center!  The Advocacy Center has recently signed for Bldg 1481, formerly known as Kawamura Gym, and it is currently being renovated.  It will house 7 state-of-the-art mock courtrooms to assist in providing essential training for our Judge Advocates.

MISSION

The U.S. Army Advocacy Center coordinates, synchronizes, and conducts institutional advocacy training across legal functions to enhance litigation expertise in support of the Army's military justice and civil litigation requirements.

ADVOCACY DEFINITION

Institutional advocacy training includes training designed to develop core advocacy skills and knowledge necessary to successfully litigate a case from cradle to grave, to include: discovery, depositions, motions, argument, and courtroom skills, regardless of field of practice.  Discipline-specific substantive legal instruction is not institutional advocacy training.
