The Army is currently in a state of flux. As a result, most commands are currently undergoing reduction (either through position or grade) drills. A representative from every OSJA office should be regular attendees at meetings with G3/5/7 or equivalent, G1 or equivalent and G8 or equivalent. OSJAs, thorugh their technical chains, should keep PPTO & CDD abreast of any proposed cuts or downgrades of any positions: judge advocates, legal administrators, paralegals, civilians, and contractors. Regular attendance at these meetings establishes a working relationship that is essential to the our Corps' ability to support commanders and meet mission requirements. Your active participation in the process at the unit/installation level and regular contact with PPTO & CDD sooner, rather than later, allows for better informed participation in this process across the Army.
