JAGConnect - Connecting the Corps
If you are a proud member of our dual profession, you should also be proud that JAGConnect, the JAG Corps' collaborative tool suite, is recognized by the milSuite administrators at DISA as being a prime example of a Community of Practice for DoD to emulate.
If you are a proud member of our dual profession, you should also be proud that JAGConnect, the JAG Corps' collaborative tool suite, is recognized by the milSuite administrators at DISA as being a prime example of a Community of Practice for DoD to emulate.
JAGConnect's primary mission is to help enable each member of our Corps to provide principled counsel and premier legal services, as committed members and leaders in the legal and Army professions, in support of a ready, globally responsive, and regionally engaged Army. Where have you seen this language?
Do you know about JAGConnect? Do your Soldiers, Civilians, peers, subordinates, and superiors know about JAGConnect? How can one be committed
to the profession without sharing tacit knowledge; without collaborating with others in our professions--outside of your offices? And, why would you not want to learn from those who have knowledge to share?
We all have plenty to do within each of our disciplines. But we all must know and understand how each of the other disciplines work and relate to our own. That is what it means to be a broadly skilled Judge Advocate (or paralegal, or legal administrator) whether active, guard or reserve (military or civilian). JAGConnect, and the various groups that form the community, help you stay connected with current activities and experts in every discipline.
So, my question to you... Why not? Give it a try (and share with your teams)... regardless of rank, position, or status, your thoughts matter.

Remember, JAGConnect compliments the document libraries of JAGCNet. JAGConnect is primarily for collaboration--sharing knowledge using both push and pull. The Document Libraries are for documents and references to be filed for the greater DoD/Army Legal Community. Post your document to JAGCNet and announce it on milBook!
