Fort Leonard Wood OSJA Law Day
Members of the Ft Leonard Wood OSJA visited Miller Cave as part of Law Day activities. Following a class on the Archeological Resources Protection Act, the OSJA visited some of the historic on-post homesteads dating back to the 1800s and then visited a couple of the many caves on Ft Leonard Wood that were used by local Native Americans. The Smithsonian Museum notably recovered many artifacts from Miller Cave in the early 1900's which are still part of the museum's extensive Native American collection.
