Length: 3.5 days. 
 
General: This course is by INVITATION ONLY to DOD military and civilian attorneys who are serving in a federal labor and employment law position, or acting in a labor counselor capacity, for at least 50% of their portfolio. Applicants should have no less than three years of federal labor and employment law experience.  Previous attendance at the Law of Federal Employment Course, or other equivalent course, preferred.    
 
Scope: This course presents advanced federal employment law and labor-management relations topics to Department of Defense (DOD) military and civilian attorneys as well as non-DOD attorneys. Core topics include: Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) substantive law, procedure, and best practices; reasonable accommodation; federal litigation practice, procedure, and settlement strategies; federal labor-management relations; personnel management; Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) substantive law, procedure, and best practices; Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) litigation; and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).

Applications are due no later than Monday, 26 September 2022. Applications will be approved, disapproved, or waitlisted by COB on Friday, 7 October 2022. Any applicant who is waitlisted will be notified by COB on Monday, 24 October 2022, if they are invited to attend. The course manager will inform approved applicants of their enrollment into the course and provide further instructions.
