COL Daniel Kolenda, Commander, 12th Legal Operations Detachment, presents the Meritorious Service Medal to LTC Scott Cashman upon his retirement after 30 years of dedicated service in the United States Army and Army Reserve.  LTC Cashman enlisted in the US Army after high school, and then put himself through college on the GI Bill and later through law school, after which he was commissioned as a 1LT in the US Army Reserve, JAG Corps.  LTC Cashman's assignments included service with the 3rd JAG, Boston, MA, later known as the 3rd LSO and 3rd LOD, Brockton, MA.  LTC Cashman deployed to Uzbekistan with the 10th Mountain Division in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.  LTC Cashman completed his service with the 13th LOD where he provided expert tax advice to some of the Army's most senior leaders.
