Brigadier General Kyle Goerke, Special Assistant to The Judge Advocate General, Army National Guard, was the honored guest at the Federal Bar Association’s (FBA) 2013 Annual Mid-Year Convention.  The FBA is a 16,000-plus member association headed by National President, LTC Bob DeSousa of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.  General Goerke also participated as a finalist Judge in the FBA's national moot court competition, which included 50 teams from across the country.  He is a member of the Oklahoma Army National Guard and was the Keynote Speaker at the FBA's Mid-Year Luncheon, addressing mental health issues currently facing service members and veterans and the alarming rate of suicides.  General Goerke met with FBA members who were veterans after the Luncheon and he was the guest of the Foundation of the Federal Bar for its annual dinner.
