This is a save-the-date notification for the upcoming 35th Advanced Law for Paralegal Course scheduled for 23 - 27 June 2025, at The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School.   This course focuses on more complex legal principles and practical skills for Army Paralegals, both military and civilian, within the core practice areas of the Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAGC).  Additionally, the course emphasizes leadership and management techniques and best practices within those legal practice areas, as well as the more nuanced understanding of law and policy required at Corps and higher levels of command. Classes will focus on specific areas of emphasis within current JAGC operations.  The curriculum is designed to provide enhanced understanding of the substantive legal framework for the area of practice and best practices for teaching, managing, and leading subordinate Paralegals to accomplish practical Paralegal skills to best support Judge Advocates and Civilian Attorneys in the field.  Practice areas addressed will include Military Justice, Administrative Law, Civil Law, and National Security Law.  

Prerequisites: Paralegals in the grade of E-6 & E-7 who have served 7 - 9 years as a paralegal, civilian paralegals in the grade of GS-9 or above, or military personnel from other services with equivalent grade and specialty.  

Enrollment: Personnel cannot self-enroll through ATRRS for this course. Anyone wishing to be enrolled in the course must be enrolled by their unit's Schools NCO or by personnel responsible for the management of civilian training. Please enroll in the course NLT 18 June 2025. In ATRRS, the course title is Advanced Law for Paralegal Course, and the course number is 5F-F59.
