BG Christopher Burns, Commander Special Operations Command North presided over LTC Peter A. Garcia's retirement ceremony on MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.  LTC Garcia was retired from the U.S. Army Reserve on 1 May 17 with over 28 years of service.  A majority of his last decade of service was providing outstanding legal support to multiple Special Operations Forces (SOF) components over two separate Geographic Combatant Command Areas of Responsibility (USSOUTHCOM and USCENTCOM) to SOF units during OPERATIONS Enduring Freedom and Inherent Resolve and other Overseas Contingency Operations.  LTC Garcia was awarded the Legion of Merit to culminate his distinguished career.  Pictured are BG Burns and LTC Garcia.
