2019 Advanced Contract Law Course

Purpose: This course provides a review of the acquisition laws, directives, and challenges for attorneys practicing within the Defense Acquisition System (DoDD5000.01). The course covers the statutes, regulations, and policies governing the Milestone Decision Authorities and program objectives for development, production, and sustainment. Additionally, the course also addresses current advanced contracting issues confronting the Department of Defense.
Prerequisites: This course is designed for Department of Defense civilian and military attorneys, along with select Army Paralegals, actively engaged in programs and major systems acquisition. Enrollment in this course is limited to attorneys who have completed the Contract Attorney’s Course (5F-F10), Graduate Course (5-27-C22) or those possessing significant contract or system acquisition experience.
Location: The Judge Advocate General's School, U.S. Army, Charlottesville, Virginia 22903-1781.
Applications: This course is by invitation only. All prospective students must complete the course application for approval or disapproval no later than 1 April 2019. Approved applicants will be notified for completion of ATRRS enrollment NLT 8 April 2019.
