CPT Phil Lowry tops out above 9000 feet, at Mile 40, on his way to an 8th-place finish at the Squaw Peak, 50 Mile Endurance Run above Provo, Utah, showing evidence of having tripped on a rock and executing an unintentional parachute landing fall 10 miles before. Some 224 runners completed the wilderness race, one of the most difficult 50-milers in the country. CPT Lowry is the Brigade Judge Advocate for the 204th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, Utah Army National Guard, and runs for the guard ultramarathon team.
