On 3 October 2012, SSG Guy Gould, William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Center Judge Advocate NCOIC and a member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association in El Paso, TX rose bright and early to escort World War II Veterans from the New Mexico /Texas border to their Honor Flight at the El Paso International Airport enroute to Washington D.C. to the World War II Memorial. Here he is seen assisting World War II Veteran, Cadet Walter Wilson to the ticket counter. Cadet Wilson was a Link Trainer instructor for the Army Air Force until he ended his service at Randolph Field in Texas, December 1945. As a Link Trainer Instructor, Cadet Wilson trained pilots to use the Link Trainer, named after Edwin A. Link, to teach pilots how to fly in bad weather. Coincidentally, the airfield near SSG Gould's hometown is also named after Edwin A. Link.
