CPT Algarin (3rd LSO), MAJ Szymanski (USMC), CPT Corbin (3rd LSO), Ms. Colleen Laughlin, Foreign Affairs Specialist, Office of the Secretary of Defense; and LTC Sinnott (3rd LSO) participated in the first Women Peace and Security (WPS) Conference held recently at Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. WPS is a National Action Plan focused on the protection and human rights of women in war and stability operations as well as the integration of women into the negotiation process.
