On 11 May 2012, COL Foreman, SJA, MCOE & Ft Benning and CSM Hardy, Post Sergeant Major, MCOE & Ft Benning recognized SSG Richardson on his selection as the recipient of the 2012 SGT Eric L. Coggins Award of Excellence. SSG Richardson was presented with a MCOE Commanding General's Coin from the SJA and MCOE CSM Coin from the Post CSM.
