Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, presented the Bronze Star Medal to BG Mark Martins
Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, presented the Bronze Star Medal to BG Mark Martins on 3 September 2010 for his service over the past 11 months as the Deputy Commander of Combined Joint Inter-Agency Task Force 435, which has had the mission of reforming U.S. detention operations and policy and of building Afghan capacity for humane, effective, and legitimate detentions. BG Martins credited his troops, many of whom are judge advocates, paralegals, and dedicated civilian officials, for the accomplishments recognized in the award.
