Ms. Pat Jackson and her granddaughter, Lara, smile sweetly while posing with COL James Lewis, SJA of First Army Division East. COL Lewis read several books by Dr. Seuss to military dependents at the Fort Meade Library on 10 March while dressed as the "Cat-in-the-Hat." This volunteer activity occurred as part of the national "Read Across America" event which annually celebrates the life and works of Dr. Seuss.
