COL Karl Goetzke, his wife, Cathy, and their daughters, Kathleen and Marie, were recognized in a ceremony on 30 May 2012 by the USAREUR Commanding General, Lieutenant General Mark Hertling.  COL Goetzke was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal and presented his Certificate of Retirement.  Lieutenant General and Mrs. Sue Hertling also presented the USAREUR Commander's Soaring Eagle Award and a Certificate of Appreciation to Mrs. Goetzke.
