During the 2011 TRADOC OSJA Joint Service Law Day tours at the Casemate Museum

During the 2011 TRADOC OSJA Joint Service Law Day tours at the Casemate Museum, CPT Michael Millios, Administrative Law Attorney, TRADOC OSJA, gave a presentation on Major General Benjamin Butler’s “Contraband of War Decision.” Fort Monroe is the place at which Major General Butler made his famous "contraband" decision by which escaping slaves reaching Union lines would not be returned to bondage. CPT Millios appeared in a Civil War Union replica uniform during his presentation.
