On 31 October 2024, at a general court-martial convened at Fort Eustis, VA, CPT Alex H. Bean, U.S. Army, was convicted by a military panel composed of officers, contrary to his pleas, of six specifications of attempted patronizing of a prostitute, four specifications of solicitation of prostitution, one specification of domestic violence, one specification of extramarital sexual conduct, and four specifications of indecent conduct in violation of Articles 80, 82, 128b, and 134, UCMJ. The accused was acquitted of two specifications of solicitation to commit extramarital sexual conduct, one specification of sexual assault, and one specification of domestic violence in violation of Articles 82, 120, and 128b, UCMJ. The military judge sentenced the accused to forfeit $3,000 pay per month for 5 months and to be dismissed from the service.
